Pictures of some of the mammals found in the bush around Chandlers Hill.
Echidnas are often seen in the Chandlers Hill area when you are walking along the many tracks. They have poor eyesight but very good hearing and smell. When surprised, an echidna tends to curl into a ball of spines while digging their claws into the ground. If you sit and wait quietly, it will eventually uncurl within a short time and continue on its way.
